Wind Flags and Indicators

Prop Design is a Work in Progress:

On the right is my standard 5 bladed 60 deg Prop.

I have tried 2, 3, 4 & 5 bladed props.
Most shooters like the 5 blade.
My standard blade is 4 1/2" to 5" long with a 60 Deg angle.
A 55 to 60 Deg is the secret!!

This makes a great indicator in winds from 1 to 4 mph. After 4 mph my Wind Indicator becomes my primary wind velocity indicator.

Below are some tools I use to make my Prop Hubs:

Above is a paper template I use to even space my prop blades.
The picture on the right is the protractor and tool I use to mark the 60 deg. blade angle on the hub.. and next to it is the hole saw I use to cut out the prop hubs.
After scribing a 60 deg. line on the hub I hacksaw a 1/2" deep slot to hold the prop blades.
