Parts List for one "180 Deg Wind Indicator"
Home Depot or Hardware Store:
1. 24 in of ¼ in I.D. (3/8 O.D.) Aluminum Channel
2. 8 in. of 3/8 in (I.D.) Aluminum Channel
3. 9 in. of 3/8 in Aluminum Rod (36 in if extension needed)
4. Two - 36 in. of 1/8 in S/S Rod (Welding Rod)
5. One 3 oz Counter weight.
6. Brass or Alum rotating union (Like 360 deg)
7. Shaft for Union (Aprox 2 1/4 in)
8. Misc nuts, bolts, screws, C clips.
9. Alum. pop rivets if you have gun.
10 One Pieces of Cora-plast 24" x 9"
( holes running across the 9")
I get mine from Sign Store scraps.
Optional:
• 1/8" brass Tube Union - Auto Part (Brass-Tite #43001)
(Less Drilling and Tapping - only one hole to drill)
• Styrofoam block 4" x 6" x 2" for paddle
(A little better indication but harder to make and less durable)
